Renaissance Weekend

Renaissance Weekend

Overview

Each Renaissance Weekend® seeks to build bridges across traditional divides of professions and politics, geography and generations, religions and philosophies.

Through hundreds of panels, seminars and workshops each Weekend, the distinguished participants themselves address public policy and personal concerns. Half-day Renaissance Academies® are led by authorities for those who prefer in-depth consideration of specific issues. An advanced management track challenges leaders in business and non-profits.

Young and emerging leaders—individually, as couples, or with their own families—are an integral part of every Renaissance Weekend®. This generation, joined by distinguished Renaissance veterans to ensure the traditional cross-generational character, is the focus of several designated Weekends each year.

Music, laughter and quiet conversations are counterpoints to serious discussions. For children ages 3-12, Camp Renaissance® consists of counselor-supervised educational activities and hands-on fun. Teens participate in adult sessions, as well as their own recreation and relevant programs.

The New Year's Weekend, by design, is the largest, most program-filled gathering. Other Weekends' settings and smaller sizes allow more time for relaxed conversation and sports, as well as adventure, scenic and educational outings.

Although important relationships between participants have been a significant consequence, these retreats' objective has been simply to encourage personal and national renewal.
